ABOUT THE ARTIST Phillip
Schreibman was born in Chelsea, Mass. In 1925. He studied periodically, before and after
army Service, at the Art Students League in New York. In 1958 he moved from a small room
to a loft near the corner of Grand St. and West Broadway where he was able to develop his
larger works. In 1975 he moved to Woodstock , N.Y. with his wife Anne and 3 year old son.
Schreibman has exhibited in Europe and the U.S. with solo shows at the Phoenix Gallery,
Fairleigh Dickinson University and Bard College, participated in group shows and was
represented at Springfield, Portland and Philadelphia Museums.
